Licensing Policy

1. Introduction

Social Sciences Spectrum (SSS) is an open-access journal that publishes original research in all areas of the social sciences. SSS is committed to making its research freely available to the public, and therefore all articles published in SSS are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

2. Scope

This policy applies to all articles published in SSS, including research articles, review articles, and short communications.

3. Rights and Permissions

Under the CC BY 4.0 license, anyone is free to share (copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format) and adapt (remix, transform, and build upon the material) the material for any purpose, even commercially, as long as they give appropriate credit (provide attribution to the original author(s) and the journal).

4. Attribution

To give appropriate credit, users must include the following information:

  • The author(s) of the article
  • The title of the article
  • The name of the journal (Social Sciences Spectrum)
  • The year of publication
  • A link to the article's DOI

5. Commercial Use

The CC BY 4.0 license allows for commercial use of the material, as long as appropriate credit is given. However, SSS does not endorse any commercial use of its articles, and users are responsible for ensuring that their use of the material does not infringe on any third-party rights.

6. Self-Archiving

Authors are permitted to self-archive their articles in their personal or institutional repositories, as long as the original article is published in SSS and the self-archived version includes a link to the original article's DOI.

7. Embargo Policy

SSS does not impose any embargo periods on its articles. All articles are freely available immediately upon publication.

8. License Exceptions

In exceptional cases, SSS may grant permission to use articles under different terms than the CC BY 4.0 license. Requests for exceptions should be submitted to the journal editor.
