With an emphasis on financial limitations, a lack of family support, and a lack of knowledge about financial assistance sources, this study examined the socioeconomic hurdles that prevented Pakistanis from pursuing higher education. In order to investigate these impediments, the study used a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data from surveys of 150 college students with qualitative insights from in-depth interviews with 20 students. The quantitative results demonstrated how financial limitations, including living expenses and tuition fees, had a major influence on students' capacity to enroll in and finish their higher education. Students from lower-income families were disproportionately impacted, according to the report, and many of them cited financial help as a major reason for pursuing higher education. Many students reported little assistance from their families because of financial instability and ignorance of available scholarships, according to the qualitative study, which also revealed themes pertaining to family support, socioeconomic obstacles, and awareness of financial aid programs. According to the findings, increasing family involvement in students' academic journeys, strengthening awareness campaigns, and growing financial aid programs were all essential steps in guaranteeing fair access to higher education in Pakistan.
