This article focuses on the evolving India-US military nexus and its impact on Pakistan's security. Using theoretical frameworksof realism, it explains how this partnership has bolstered India's military capabilities, posed significant security threats to Pakistan, and enhanced India's capability for proxy warfare. These developments have created a precarious securityenvironment for Pakistan, contributing to a regional security dilemma and supporting India's emergence as a regional hegemon. The analysis highlights the role of advanced defense agreements, technology transfers, and joint military exercises in shifting the regional power balance. It also underscores the challenges Pakistan faces, including threats to its nuclear deterrence, increased proxy warfare, and its longstanding stance on Kashmir since independence. The study emphasizes the need for Pakistan to adopt a proactive approach, strengthen alliances, and implement counterbalancing strategies to address these emerging threats effectively. Recently, India has also taken initiatives to further strengthen its proxy warfare capabilities. As a result, Pakistan faces multifaceted challenges from this nexus, including border tensions, nuclear deterrence concerns, U.S. alignment with India, and a growing power imbalance. This article primarily focuses on these issues and explores strategies for Pakistan to effectively counter them.
